Houston Rockets are in the middle of a small transition as a franchise. They fired their head coach Kevin McHale, reportedly have issues with James Harden and J.B. Bickerstaff took over all in one day. Houston welcomed the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night and Harden shined in Bickerstaff’s debut.
James Harden, in one way or another, contributed to all 18 of the final Rockets points to end the game, including his assist to Corey Brewer for three to send the game into overtime. For the entire game, Harden scored 45 points on 11-29 shooting including a stellar 19-20 from the free throw line but he did shoot 4-15 from three point range. Harden also had 11 assists, eight rebounds and five steals on the night.
