An in depth investigative report released by CNN alleges Godfather of Soul, James Brown was murdered. Brown who passed in 2006 leaves an artistic legacy and many unanswered questions.
The 3-part CNN report by Thomas Lake features the story told by Jacquelyn Hollander. Hollander claims she and Brown were close until 1988 when he raped her. Since then, Hollander kept a close eye on Brown, collecting evidence for use against the singer.
“Even with him dead — even with him dead, in that cement crypt, look at the power of his name. … He might as well be alive. What’s the difference? This is the empire he ran when he was alive. … They run it the same way. Mob, control, fear, intimidation, lies. What’s the difference? He’s still alive, as far as I’m concerned.”
Hollander also shares proof claiming Brown’s third wife Adrienne Brown was also murdered. Murderous allegations may seem to come from unhinged thoughts however as a past informant, law enforcement trusts her word. 11 known associates of Brown also subscribe to Hollanders belief that James Brown’s death was murder.
Dr. Marvin Crawford, the attending physician to James Brown immediately suspected fowl play. Dr. Crawford says Brown was not a patient he would have predicted to code and recommended an autopsy, declined by Brown’s family.
