After not practicing on Thursday it was revealed that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has a hip injury that could keep him out for four to six weeks. Chase and the Bengals dominated the Atlanta Falcons in Week Seven, but Chase pulled up at the end of a route in the game. The team said that the injury began to bother him after the team’s Week Six win against the New Orleans Saints. He is officially listed as doubtful for the Week Eight matchup against the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.

So far this season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Ja’Marr Chase has caught 47 passes for 605 yards and six touchdowns on 74 targets. He has also rushed the ball four times for two yards this season. The Bengals’ timetable for Chase is up in the air because they are hoping he is able to heal faster than expected, but injured reserve with a return designation is still a possibility for the star wide receiver. Getting him healthy and back on the field with quarterback Joe Burrow is the main goal right now. We here at Def Pen Sports wish Ja’Marr Chase the best in this recovery and eventual return to the field this season.
