The Minnesota Vikings have traded a 2023 7th round pick and a 2024 conditional 4th round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for wide receiver Jalen Reagor. If Reagor doesn’t hit certain statistical marks the 2024 4th round pick becomes a 2024 5th round pick instead. This was a rumored deal on Tuesday before final roster cuts but did not happen and Reagor was on the initial Philadelphia Eagles 53-man roster. Now the next day the trade gets done between the two teams. The Eagles drafted the wide receiver with the 21st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. They notably took him over Justin Jefferson who was selected with the 22nd overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings.
Trade: Eagles are sending WR Jalen Reagor to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2023 7th-round pick and a 2024 conditional 4th-round pick that would deescalate to a 5th-round pick if certain statistical marks are not met, sources tell ESPN.

In his two-year NFL career as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Reagor has caught 64 passes for 695 yards and three touchdowns on 111 targets. He also rushed the ball 14 times for 58 yards and zero touchdowns in those two seasons. With new additions to the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver core, it became clear that Reagor would likely be the odd man out this season. A fresh start with the Minnesota Vikings could be exactly what he needs early in his NFL career.

Both the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles have made serious moves this offseason to attempt to make the NFL Playoffs. Jalen Reagor is headed to the Vikings, who needed a better pass-catching threat behind their main players. This trade seems to be an ideal fit for both teams moving forward.
