Last week there was a ludicrous rumor in regards to the Suicide Squad. A site reported that Warner Bros. and the directors chose to spend an obscene amount of money on reshoots to brighten up the mood of the film. Even with critics bashing the darkness of Batman V. Superman, there was no way that Warner Bros. would reshoot any part of the film with these intentions at hand. Captain Boomerang or Jai Courtney — however you want to address the star — is here to address that rumor and put it to rest.
Courtney spoke with Ashley Crossan of Entertainment Tonight about the reshoots, confirming that there actually were some, but not for the reasons reported.
“I think there’s plenty of [humor] in [‘Suicide Squad’],” said Courtney, as transcribed by Collider. “I wouldn’t say we’re going back to make it funnier, there’s some additional action stuff that we’ve been doing, which is pretty dope. Really we’re just kind of adding in that sense.
