Jahvon Quinerly was initially an Arizona commit. After the FBI Scandal news came out, he re-opened his commitment. He then chose Villanova over schools such as Oklahoma, Oregon, Rutgers, and Seton Hall.
Quinerly, the 6-foot-2 McDonald’s All-American point guard from Hudson Catholic in New Jersey becomes Villanova’s third commit in the class of 2018. He joins 4-stars Cole Swider and Brandon Slater in the Wildcats’ class.
With Jalen Brunson expected to go to the NBA, Quinerly’s commitment comes as a major pickup for Jay Wright. It isn’t often that Villanova gets the high-level recruits, so Quinerly will be revered for the Wildcats. With many important players expected to return, and now having a very good recruiting class, look for Villanova to be amongst the top of college basketball again next year.
