The Philadelphia 76ers need a break, they need something, someone to take them out of this sorry state. If this doesn’t pan out I might have to hold a eulogy for the entire franchise.
And by the way, when they eventually succeed, can we not hail Sam Hinkie as an all knowing power? This ‘Trust the process’ thing is utter garbage, the Sixers could’ve been in a better position but Hinkie doesn’t know anything other than how to tank for the no.1 Draft Pick.
I say this because their new man Jahlil Okafor looks genuinely ready, I was skeptical before and I still have a level of it because the season hasn’t started yet. But he’s talking a good game.
“I am ready [for the challenge],” said Okafor. “I was the No. 1 player in high school so I went through that attention. I went to Duke University, one of the bigger schools in the country, and won a national championship. I’m used to attention and I think I’ll handle it fine.”
Thats a pretty decent track record in terms of getting attention. Lets just hope that he doesn’t get his behind handed go him every game.
