Tennessee Volunteers’ freshman guard Jaden Springer has declared for the 2021 NBA Draft and plans to hire an agent. His time spent in college basketball has come to an end. The former five-star recruit will begin the process to enter the NBA and start his NBA career. Springer was a talented freshman for Tennessee and should easily be a first-round pick in this year’s NBA Draft. He was always expected to be a “one and done” and this season did nothing to change that mindset.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native had a great season at Tennessee and looks ready to head to the NBA. His single season with the Volunteers saw him average 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. The freshman shot very well with a field goal percentage of 46.7 percent and a three-point percentage of 43.5 percent. He became a commanding presence in the Tennessee backcourt this year under the tutelage of Head Coach Rick Barnes.
Springer had great things to say in his statement about his time with Tennessee. “Although I was only here for a short time, you welcomed me and made me feel at home, while I am excited to pursue my NBA dream, please know that Rocky Top will always be home sweet home to me.”
Jaden Springer will be playing in the NBA next season and considering he’s rated as a mid to late first-round pick it could be for a very good team. The former college freshman seems ready to take on the challenge of learning how to play in the NBA. The 2021 NBA Draft is a few months away, so he still has some time to improve his draft stock in those coming months.
