The four players were confirmed to be Barry Church, DJ Hayden, Ronnie Harrison, and Jarrod Wilson.
The team has confirmed the report to be true and has also added that all four players are back with the team while the situation is handled. The Jaguars also added that any disciplinary actions would be handled internally.
Allegedly, the players – all four of whom are defensive backs for Jacksonville – attended the London Reign nightclub and were served several bottles of top-shelf alcohol. The players believed it to be on the house. But at the end of the night, the total bill was in the neighborhood of £50,000, or the equivalent of more than $57,000.
The players exchanged words with some of the club’s staff outside, disputing payment of the bill. During which time things got tense, leading to the police being called and ultimately arresting the players at around 4:00 a.m. London time.
Church is listed as a starting safety on the Jaguars depth chart, with Harrison his backup. Hayden is the backup to star cornerback Jalen Ramsey but sees plenty of playing time since in nickel and dime situations. Wilson, a safety, has appeared in all seven games thus far this season but has yet to register any meaningful stats.
The Jacksonville Jaguars sit at 3-4, tied for second place in the AFC South with the Tennessee Titans.
