Jackson State University quarterback Shedeur Sanders has signed a name, image and likeness deal with Beats By Dre. He is the first college athlete to sign a deal with the brand thus far.
“I remember getting my first pair of Beats, so this feels full circle,” Sanders told ESPN.
“I’m excited to be part of a brand that inspires and represents the culture in a positive way; and that’s exactly what I want to do with my career. It’s an honor to be the first college athlete on their roster, and I couldn’t have imagined a better partnership.”
Sanders is known by many as the son of the team’s head coach, Deion, but he has built a name of his own lately. He is the highest-ranked recruit to join the program. This weekend, he will add to his list of firsts as he makes his college debut against Florida A&M University on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
