In Kodak Black’s absence, we have fellow Sniper Gang artist Jackboy to keep us occupied. Keep in mind that Kodak Black is currently behind bars for weapons charges.
Jackboy has been releasing a bunch of heat all year. The South Florida rapper grew up with Kodak and you can tell that they often bounced song ideas off one another. The self-titled project follows Jackboy’s last project release, Lost In My Head back in September of last year.
In a press release about the album, Jackboy said, “I was with Kodak before he was big, the super struggle days.” “When I got locked up, he just got big. That’s my best friend, my right-hand man.”
On Instagram today, Jackboy posted a meme about how some of his friends in the industry won’t openly support him. In the post he writes “Due 2 Politics A lot Of My Fake Industry Homeboys Can’t Openly Show Love So They Somewhere Backed Inna Corner Getting They JACKBOY On.”
