Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker has been medically cleared to return to the floor on Friday after undergoing rehabilitation on his torn ACL, the Bucks announced:
“Jabari has worked extremely hard with our medical, performance and coaching staffs to get to this point,” said General Manager Jon Horst. “He’s passed all the tests and been cleared to return by our team physician Dr. William Raasch of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. Just as important, Jabari feels ready to play and we’re excited for his return to game action on Friday.”
Parker tore his ACL in February of 2017. Prior to the injury, he was having a phenomenal season, averaging 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game on 49 percent shooting.
Parker has now suffered two ACL tears at the young age of 22. That’s definitely not encouraging, but if his second return is anywhere near as smooth as his first was, Milwaukee will be ecstatic.
The Bucks drafted Parker second overall in 2014.
Parker may have been part of the reason the Bucks fired former head coach Jason Kidd, though Parker denies these claims.
