Have you ever felt like something is too good to be true & it was? Life is funny that way. Well for Boston native, Jaalid, he shares the sentiment in his latest record “Reality”. If you’re like Jaalid, you’ve come across relationships in the past or even the present where you love/like that individual ultimately more than you love/like yourself.
In many instances when you’re caught up like this, you can ruin everything; from your morals, self-worth and even jeopardize your career. As for Jaalid, he brings to life his Norman Perry assisted, King Bnjmn produced single with from director Trevor Browning. In doing so we get to visually interpret Jaalid go through what it’s like to love someone when all the signs present themselves that you shouldn’t.
Often times the reality of situations are something one doesn’t want to accept. Thus our fantasies seem more realistic or rather realism that we force ourselves to believe it is true when in actuality it isn’t.
Jaalid delivered on “Reality” and if you’re one who connects, this is for you. Personally I’ve been down this road before so this resonated with me instantly. Not to mention the infectious R&B style he presents as well as the similarities to that of a young Usher (to me at least).
