The Memphis Grizzlies have suspended star point guard Ja Morant from all team activities once again this year. This comes after another video surfaced of Morant with a gun. Earlier this year Morant was suspended by the NBA for eight games due to the first gun video. It is unclear how the NBA will respond to Morant this time, but they have released a statement that they are aware of the incident and are investigating. This is troubling news for one of the leagues most promising young stars and at this point, could derail his NBA career if he isn’t careful.

After an up and down regular season, Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies were eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers. Now that the team is in the offseason it seems that Morant has regressed some of what he was supposed to learn during his last suspension. The NBA will likely hand down another suspension to start next season, but the amount of time will depend on several other factors. Both the NBA and Memphis will be hoping to correct this behavior and get Morant back to being a dominant player on the NBA court and less of an off-court distraction.
