Over the weekend it was reported that DC may hold off on bringing Green Lantern into the first Justice League film. Although he is apart of the original seven, it is pretty apparent that DC may be hesitant on bringing Hal Jordan back or Jon Stewart to the big screen after the 2011 catastrophe. With that being said, DC has found their Jim Gordon. THR has reported that DC and Synder have called upon J.K Simmons to take on the role as the commissioner of Gotham. With Simmons being tapped to play the Commissioner, he’s added on to the very short list of actors who have played major roles within Marvel and DC films. He previously played J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi early 00’s Spider-Man.
Justice League: Part One hits theaters November 17, 2017 and starts shooting in April. The first film in this DC Universe is Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice which will be in theaters in two weeks, March 25th. Batman V. Superman will be followed up by Suicide Squad in August.
