
J. Cole headlined the inaugural Dreamville Festival, performing an endearing tribute to Nipsey Hussle.
The festival, initially slated for September 2018 debuted April 2019, rescheduled due to weather. Despite any potential setbacks, the inaugural festival remained sold-out to a crowd of 40,000 fans. With live performances streamed on TIDAL, fans watching from the crowd or at home immediately shared clips of J. Cole’s tribute to Nipsey Hussle.

J. Cole, previously sharing his feelings on Nipsey Hussle through social media, where many stars mourned publicly. Continuing on, J. Cole had the audience raises their phone lights while performing Love Yours with clips and images of Nipsey Hussle appearing on screen.

During the festival, J. Cole was not alone in Nipsey Hussle’s tribute. Big Sean delivered a freestyle, sharing his anger and pain relating to Nipsey Hussle’s murder. The Detroit rapper dedicated the moment to Nipsey Hussle, thanking him for inspiration. Teyana Taylor, 21 Savage also paid respects to the fallen icon. Watch clips below:
