J. Cole is having one of the best runs of his career. Since releasing his fourth studio album, K.O.D, J. Cole has delivered verses on 21 Savage’s “A Lot“, Offset’s “How Did We Get Here?” and 6LACK’s “Pretty Little Fears“. In addition, he led the infamous Revenge of the Dreamers III sessions and headlined the 2019 NBA All-Star Game halftime show. Most recently, he’s released the video for “Shea Butter Baby” with the first lady of Dreamville, Ari Lennox.
Following the release of his video with Ari Lennox, J. Cole is back with his own offering. To kick off the year, Cole dropped his latest single, “Middle Child”. Released in January, the song was met with much adoration and criticism. Despite how you felt about it, you heard it everywhere. In fact, the song has performed so well it rose to the #4 spot on the Billboard charts earlier this month. Surprisingly, it marked the first time Cole had a solo record that cracked the top five. To celebrate that achievement, Cole has dropped the official video for his single, “Middle Child”.
