
Bryson Tiller and J. Cole face lawsuit following accusations from music producer Gary Frisby. Frisby names both artists as well as Sony Music, Roc Nation and RCA Records.
Gary Frisby who goes by G-Money claims his song Shawty So Cold was ripped off by both artists. The Blast reports, G-Money claims J. Cole and Bryson tiller stole the kick pattern, snare pattern, FX swell and vocal strike.
Shawty So Cold released in 2013 followed by Bryson Tiller’s Exhange in 2016 and J. Cole’s De?ja? Vu, in 2017. All three tracks have clear similarities.
The lawsuit demands $150,000 per infringement as well as an injunction against both artists to stop them from future profits from the songs.
