Don’t expect Kevin Garnett to really care what a rookie thinks of him but Game 2 in Atlanta later tonight just got a whole lot more interesting. Hawks rookie Ivan Johnson says that the Celtics veteran is a “dirty player”, but he can handle anything the Celtics players throw his way.
“Garnett, he’s a dirty player,” Johnson said. “He gives me a lot of elbows, and I can handle that. I was prepared for that, I already knew how KG was going to come at me. They’re a whole bunch of mess-talkers.”
Expect KG to answer the same way he has in the past to Joakim Noah and Andrew Bogut. “I’m not entertaining nor addressing nobodies. I’m not even entertaining them.”
Game 2 tips off in Atlanta at 7:30pm Eastern.
