Miami Hurricanes star guard Isaiah Wong has withdrawn from the 2022 NBA Draft and will return to the program. With their best player now returning and key transfers coming in, the Miami Hurricanes will be a top ACC program next season. Earlier in the offseason, Wong debated a transfer to capitalize on more NIL money but ultimately decided to stay with the Miami Hurricanes program. Now the focus of the program is to capitalize on the success it had last year after it reached its first-ever Elite Eight.

In his third year with the Miami Hurricanes, Isaiah Wong averaged 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. His points per game finished second on the team this past season. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 45.2 percent and a three-point percentage of 30.2 percent. While the team ran into the Kansas Jayhawks in the 2022 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, their run as a double-digit seed showcased the program’s grit and determination. Wong returning to the program next year will boost the Hurricanes to near the top of the ACC.
Not. Done. Yet.
Hype to have @zaywong21 returning for another year.

The Miami Hurricanes have built another transfer-packed roster that has plenty of potential heading into next year. While the North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils will be the favorites to win the ACC, the Miami Hurricanes will look to pull off an upset in either the regular season or ACC Tournament. It is unlikely the team gets a double-digit seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament and a return to the Elite Eight is not out of the question.
