The race for Kevin Durant has unofficially begun. Even though free agency doesn’t start until July 1st, players, coaches, and executives around the league will be doing their due diligence in order to get prepared to make a bid for Kevin Durant. At this point, you got to wonder, who ISN’T interested in Durant? We’ve heard that the Celtics, Heat, Spurs, Nets, Lakers, Raptors, Knicks, Thunder, Mavericks, Rockets, and last but not least the Warriors, are interested in making their bid for the former league MVP.
Last night, players began to even tweet out their recruitment, including Joel Embiid, and Celtics Gaurd Isaiah Thomas. Thomas later on deleted the tweet, but Mark Van Deuson of LucidSportsFan.com caught the tweet and posted it:

Just goes to show you that Durant might be the biggest free agent on the market since LeBron James and he’s going to make news just like LeBron with his decision. Could the Celtics be a possible destination? GM Danny Ainge has mentioned before that signing Kevin Durant is somewhat of a priority for him this offseason, but get in line Mr.Ainge. The Celtics pose a roster of role players that will give Durant the ability to commend his own team, along side all-star Thomas who had one of his best seasons this year. With the core of Thomas, Bradley, and Durant the Celtics will potentially become a force in the Eastern Conference if he were to sign, but like I said, get in line.
