Isaiah Thomas Might Makes His Celtics Debut Vs. Lakers On Sunday
Isaiah Thomas is the newest member of the Boston Celtics after Thursday’s woozy of trade deadline moves, and according to Celtics.com’s Mark D’Amico, Thomas might be joining his new teammates as early as this weekend:
The trio of new Celtics are not expected to play tonight. Sunday’s game against the Lakers is much more likely.

Thomas is scheduled for a physical in Boston on Saturday. If he doesn’t go against the Lakers on Sunday, get ready for this, his first game could be against the Phoenix Suns, the team that traded him, the following Monday.
The 5-foot-9, 26-year-old Isaiah Thomas was brought to Phoenix in a hefty guard experiment that didn’t appeal to all parties in the end. Now Thomas will join a guard core with the likes of rookie Marcus Smart, Evan Turner, and Avery Bradley in Boston. He showed his own excitement via Twitter:
Boston, I cannot WAIT to put on my @celtics jersey & help pk-callout us to the playoffs! Looking forward to making this my home. #TMC

From Celtics head coach Brad Stevens on adding Thomas to the fold, via his interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Zolak and Bertrand”:
“Isaiah is a guy that can create offense in a number of different ways. He’s a guy that can score off the ball on catch-and-shoot situations, or off of screens away from the ball. But he’s really good with the ball. And really good using high pick-and-rolls and side pick-and-rolls to get downhill and score. He’s got good speed, he’s very crafty, he gets to the foul line. From an efficiency standpoint, he has really done a lot of good things.… I think he helps our team, and hopefully we can continue to grow with that backcourt.
