Tony Bennett has secured his first commitment of the 2022 class in four-star guard Isaac McKneely. McKneely maybe his next Ty Jerome if he lives up to his current scouting report once he reaches campus. Bennett steadily continues to recruit better and better at Virginia over the last few years as the program has taken off in the last decade.
The program that Bennett has built Virginia into has been mightily impressive and all that is without getting many top-50 recruits like McKneely is. McKneely is a top 10 combo guard in the 2022 class. He’s a guy who will have no problem either playing off-ball or taking over Kihei Clark in a couple of years.

McKneely is a player who is great in catch and shoot situations as well as off the dribble when going left. Another of his strengths is actually his strength, especially on the defensive end. He also utilizes it when driving to the basket as he’s tough to bump off his course at least versus other high schoolers. He doesn’t have a ton of wiggle in his game and mostly relies on straight-line drives. Assuming he stays with the commitment, Tony Bennett might have a good one on his hands.
