With San Antonio at 17 in a row and steamrolling into the Playoffs it begs the question. Is this going to hinder them in the long run i.e the Playoffs?
Lets have a look. By the eye test they look fine, 17 wins in a row is nothing to sneeze at. But there’s some people (and I am one of them) that thinks aren’t they tired? And they’re not now surely they’ll run out of gas sometime in the near future.
Did you know that they have travelled the most out of any team? Combine that with the age of their big 3 and you can’t help but wonder is this too much?
I didn’t have them winning the chip anyway but this furthers my doubt of them getting far.
Winning on a game to game basis that’s fine for the Spurs. But a seven game series is a whole different animal.
Remember when they faced the Thunder a couple of years back? Won 2 games everyone thought that’s that series over and done with. Next thing you know OKC win 4 straight.
Teams you’re facing in the playoffs learn your game inside out the first couple of games and then prepare accordingly for the rest.
Maybe I am putting them down. But it’s something to think about.
