
Instacart has announced that it will bring on 300,000 new shoppers in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The San Francisco based company is best known for its grocery delivery service. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Instacart has become a popular option for those wishing to stay out of crowded grocery stores and long lines.
In this new move, the tech start up will focus on bringing new shoppers in Ohio, Georgia and New Jersey. Also, Instacart will look to add 54,000 shoppers in California. In addition, 24,000 new shoppers will join the company in New York.
Given the current crisis, the San Francisco based company will offer new workers sick pay. Alongside health benefits, they will also offer new employees cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer.
