A special edition of NBA on TNT’s ‘Inside The NBA’ on a Tuesday brings us the usual crew, after Barkley went out on the field last week to broadcast a game.
Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith put on a special show for the fans.
They do highlights of the first game of the night and in typical Charles Barkley fashion, he goes on a complete tangent when the topic comes up about ‘analytics’ or the advanced stats teams, executives and writers used to further discuss players statistics. After remarks made by Houston Rockets GM Darel Morey who said that he was happy Charles Barkley wasn’t in attendance while his team was playing the Phoenix Suns, Barkley went off.
Barkley and the guys talk about more of Barkley’s issues with female celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Gabrielle Union as well as his fascination with New York’s ‘street meat’.
They do the highlights for the 2 games on TNT, the Houston Rockets versus the Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets visiting the Los Angeles Lakers for the night cap. They also go over the other 3 games of the night for the last studio show in Atlanta before the team heads out to New York for 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend.
There was also a great moment in the show when all the members of the crew talked about Dean Smith and remembered his life and career.
‘Elevator’ Ernie Johnson, Shaquille ‘Shaq’ O’Neal, ‘Sir Charles’ Charles Barkley and Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith always put on a great show for the viewers.
