The Inauguration of President-Election Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect J.D. Vance will reportedly take place in the Capitol Rotunda instead of outdoors near the U.S. Capitol due to freezing temperatures. According to a report from the Weather Channel on Sunday, January 19, the temperature is expected to be 25° fahrenheit with winds between 10 and 20 miles per hour (mph).
“The various Dignitaries and Guests will be brought into the Capitol,” Trump wrote.
“This will be a very beautiful experience for all, and especially for the large TV audience!”
As a result, the Joint Inaugural Committee says 5he “vast majority of ticketed guests will not be able to attend the ceremonies in person.” Instead, only individuals with “tickets for the Presidential Platform and members of Congress will be able to attend in person.”
“We strongly suggest people who are in Washington for the event attend other indoor events at indoor venues of their choice to watch the inauguration,” the Inaugural Committee stated.
In addition to the Capitol Rotunda, spectators will be able to view the Inauguration from Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C. Immediately after being sworn-in as President, Donald trump is expected to attend an indoor Inaugural Parade at the arena.
