Oh and the Cleveland Cavaliers take another injury L. Sure this isn’t the worst one they’ve had but it’s not exactly positive is it?
A day into Training Camp and Cavaliers’ Iman Shumpert is declared out for 12-14 weeks due to a right wrist injury.
Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert recently suffered a ruptured Extensor Carpi Ulnaris sheath in his right wrist. The extent of the injury was confirmed by MRI at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health yesterday by Dr. Thomas Graham and Dr. Richard Parker. Shumpert will have surgery to repair his wrist Wednesday at Cleveland Clinic. His return to play is currently projected to be 12 to 14 weeks.
A ruptured Extensor Carpi Ulnaris sheath in his right wrist. Now you can see why I just say “injury to right wrist”.
Biological terminology aside, this isn’t a long-term blow for the Cavs, but it’s something. They will start the season without one of their main bench players, but this won’t affect the Cavs in the big picture. Remember when we all said the Cavs were done at the beginning of the year, then they kind of shut us up? This is why I’m not saying anything about they’re chances anymore. LeBron can take a month or two off and they’ll still make it to the Playoffs, this is nothing.
