The Cleveland Cavaliers have made it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2009, when LeBron James led them there again. Their second round matchup vs. the Chicago Bulls was one to remember, with two back-to-back game winners by former MVP’s. It was a GREAT series. Now the Cavaliers can celebrate. But first, they must let go of the demons of the last round. Iman Shumpert got clotheslined by Bulls Forward Nikola Mirotic, and well Shumpert didn’t appreciate it.
Now Shumpert wants to comment on it. According to Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com:
Shumpert was still miffed by that wrestling tactic after the game. As he was getting dressed, he was telling James “That dude better be cool. I’m from here. I got my family here and everything. He wants to get out safe, don’t he?”
It prompted a laugh from his teammates and James responded, “He must not know you’re from The Chi.”
Looks like LeBron is taking it like a joke, but Shumpert doesn’t seem to be treating it that way. Could this escalate?
