The Cavaliers spending spree continues on day one of free agency with the re-signing of Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson
According to Yahoo Sports Adrian Wojnarowski the Cavs will re-sign restricted free agent Iman Shumpert to a 4 year 40 million dollar deal.
Iman Shumpert has agreed to a four-year, $40M contract to remain with the Cavaliers, league source tells Yahoo.

Shumpert’s contract reportedly includes a player option in the fourth year.
It was reported earlier in the day that the Cavs and Shumpert could not reach a deal, and Shumpert would be listening to other offers.
Before the Cavs traded for Iman Shumpert he reportedly wanted $10 million a year from the New York Knicks which obviously lead to the team dealing him mid-season.
The Cavaliers general manager David Griffin remained active on the first day of free agency, and it may not be over just yet.
With the moves of Iman Shumpert, Kevin Love, and Tristan Thompson the team now has 240 million dollars of salary for all players, and they have not even re-signed LeBron James yet.
The Cavaliers still have Brendan Haywood’s contract as a big chip to add talent this summer, but they better make the most out of it since they won’t have the ability to sign many players in the upcoming off-seasons.
This team will no doubt be competing for championships, and Gilbert has pushed all of his chips to the center of the table for next season and beyond.
