George Miller’s next project is gaining major steam as Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton intend to star. The Mad Max: Fury Road director’s next film will be Three Thousand Years of Longing, an epic love story.
No details on the film have been released but it is rumored to include a genie. Expect more over the next couple weeks as Miller begins optioning the project to studios. It’s unclear who Swinton and Elba would play in the film.
Elba most recently portrayed Heimdall in this year’s Avengers: Infinity War. He is currently filming the Fast and Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw. Swinton also played a role in the MCU in 2016’s Doctor Strange as the Ancient One. However, she is currently starring in Suspira. A remake of the classic Italian horror film of the same name.
Three Thousand Years of Longing has no release date or further casting information.
