Stay-at-home orders are not slowing down anything in the DMV. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the area has continued to stay at the front of the culture. Most notably, Wale dropped his critically acclaimed video for “Sue Me” featuring Kelly Price. More recently, Adé dropped his “Where I’m From” freestyle followed by the wyd after tape. Now, IDK is carrying the flag for the region.
Earlier this month, IDK teamed up with Kevin Durant and Showtime to release “495” in conjunction with the release of the Basketball County documentary. This Friday, he’s returned with a new track called” Mazel Tov” featuring A$AP Ferg. Much like “495,” “Mazel Tov” has a hard trap element that allows A$AP Ferg and the Maryland native to go back and forth throughout the track.
“B*tch, you better save your money/Get creative with the paper like arts and crafts/B*tch, I’m archin’ backs/N*gga, I’m architect/N*gga, I built this house all by myself/B*tch, where was you at,” IDK raps.
“My mom is my newest accountant/She busy countin’ my thousands/I lost a lot of money, that was a diamond,” A$AP Ferg adds.
