The Houston Rockets have been a huge disappointment to start the season, having accumulated an 8-11 record thus far. That has led to firing head coach Kevin McHale although it seems apparent that that move has not made any positive impacts on the team. Therefore, many have called for possible personnel moves in the form of trades. Although GM Daryl Morey refuted those rumors, putting trust that this group of players can figure it out, new reports are emerging that the Rockets are testing the market for two of their assets.
According to Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops, the Rockets are looking at possible trades of big-men Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones. Both players have had flashes of good play for the Rockets and could potentially garner solid additions to the team if they are indeed moved. The Rockets should be looking for better shooters and defenders to fit the mold of the team. Whether the Rockets pull the trigger on any actual trades of these two players remains to be seen, but it may be worthwhile for them to look around to get any type of help they can and turn their season around.
