The Houston Rockets have basically given up on trying to shift Ty Lawson. With the DUI and alcohol problems along with his mediocre play this season, the Rockets are pretty much stuck with him. Which is a shame because I really thought he’d average double digit assists like he did in Denver. That shows me I guess.
The Rockets have spent most of the season trying to find a suitor for Ty Lawson but nobody is biting. So, according to Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports, they’re going to stop trying and just keep him.
More Rockets: I’m told they expect to keep Ty Lawson past Feb. 18 trade deadline. Recent chatter about Bucks, but they’re rolling w/ him.

It’s a shame Lawson hasn’t been cutting it. I have been talking about his underrated ability to dish for years, then when he gets on a Playoff team he flops, what kind of ‘hustling backwards’ is that?! I mean it’s not all his fault. The Houston Rockets are bang average at the moment, all of the people involved have to take some blame. But now that everybody knows that Ty Lawson is here to stay, they need to take a breath and work with it all.
