Current Minnesota Timberwolves guard Chase Budinger has recently been in discussions to get traded. Budinger has about $5 Million dollars left on his contract, but also has a player option that would be about the same the next year. Budinger’s been talked about going to his old team, the Houston Rockets. But according to reports, the Rockets aren’t interested.
Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports the following.
Rockets have zero interest in his contract. RT @liuSamPark: @Jonathan_Feigen rumor about Chasebudinger's back, need confirm pls

With the possibility of returning to the team that drafted him back in 2009 being out there, Budinger could help out Houston a little bit, but won’t be effective. Especially not at $5 million dollars a year.
Plus the Rockets are still looking to add another star to join Dwight Howard and James Harden and picking up the contract could prove to be detrimental all around.
