
The Rockets are partnering with Bitcoin-mining company AntPool, owned by Bitmain Technology, for the 2018-19 season. AntPool announced the news via Facebook:

AntPool, one of the world’s leading crypto currency and Bitcoin mining companies, announced that it is an official sponsor of the Houston Rockets for the 2018-2019 NBA season. This landmark partnership follows the China-based company’s recent announcement that is has chosen Houston as the destination for U.S. expansion, further solidifying the path for cryptocurrencies to go more consumer.

The partnership will include an AntPool exhibition inside Toyota Center, launching on January 19, 2019.

AntPool mines the second largest amount of Bitcoins in the world, roughly 15 percent of all blocks and is owned and operated by Bitmain Technologies who also owns Antminer and Hashnet.
