A couple of days after getting bought out by the Sacramento Kings, Aaron Brooks found a new destination, one that isn’t new to him. Here’s the great Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! sports with the news:

Brooks will be returning to the team that drafted him with the 26th pick overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft. The Rockets have former Knick Jeremy Lin as the starter, but Brooks has the chance to give the Rocketsa different option off the bench.
Brooks has shown Houston he can score and pass, he averaged 19.6 points with 5.3 assists per game in the 2009-2010 season before getting traded the following year to Phoenix for guard Goran Dragic and a draft pick.
The Rockets had Toney Douglas as the backup point guard, but he was traded to Sacramento in the Thomas Robinson deal, leaving the Rockets with just Lin and third string PG Patrick Beverley.
