Hot Tub Time Machine fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer for the sequel.
The sci-fi comedy was scheduled to open up Christmas Day, but has been pushed back until February 20, 2015.
The new release date keeps the film from competing with the James Franco and Seth Rogen comedy The Interview.
Hot Tub Time Machine 2 will now open the same week as Sean Penn’s The Gunman, Kevin Costner’s McFarland and Natalie Portman’s Jane Got a Gun.
Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, Clark Duke and Chevy Chase have all repriesed their roles for the sequel.
New cast additions include Adam Scott and Gillian Jacobs.
The sequel’s storyline sees Robinson and Duke’s characters leaping back into the hot tub in a bid to head back in time and stop Corddry’s Lou from being shot.
The original film was a moderate box office hit in 2010, earning more than $60 million at the worldwide box office, but has since gone on to become a cult hit.
