Hosea Chanchez is set to join the cast of Black Lightning in season two. Best known for his role in BET’s The Game, the actor will take on the role of Marcus Bishop.
Bishop is described as “a secret ASA operative in league with Dr. Helga Jace (Jennifer Riker). Codenamed Shakedown, he possesses the ability to generate vibrations and frequencies at will.” Bishop’s character description also states, “Irreverent, bitter and impulsively violent, this ex-Air Force officer killed his superior officer when he was passed over for promotion because of a poor performance review.” The description closes by stating, “At Ft. Leavenworth, he signed with Dr. Jace and embraced his role with the ASA, taking great pleasure in producing a high body count on his covert missions.”
In season two, Chanchez will join Cress Williams, China Anne McClain, Nafessa Williams, Marvin “Krondon” Jones III and more. Black Lightning returned from a mid-series break on January 21st and will run every Monday at 9 p.m. on The CW.
