The Charlotte Hornets are in a place where they either upgrade or do nothing and become mediocre. They have the 9th pick in the NBA Draft so that should be a perfect opportunity for them to get somebody that’ll take their team to the next level for the next few years.
Their one gaping need is a perimeter shooter, now the Draft has a few of those, but the Hornets will go with talent and deal with needs when free agency comes around.
The Hornets plan to draft the best player available, regardless of whether that is a point guard, power forward or center.
”We’re going to address the shooting this summer, but it could be through the draft, free agency or a trade,” Cho said during a press conference on Thursday.
Charlotte has been looking for a solution to its poor outside shooting for several years.
Cho wouldn’t rule out the possibility of trading up or back, adding that he’s already had trade discussions with several teams.
The GM said ”he’d love to move up” but added that a lot of scenarios are in play.
Mr Cho is going to be very busy this offseason, he knows that Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker are his two best players, it is now up to him to get players that can help, preferably young players but they are a tad thin on the veteran front, they could do with a vet.
