When the Charlotte Hornets found out they lost point guard Kemba Walker for an extended period of time, there was some talks about the Hornets possibly making a deal to withstand the time they’ll be without Walker.
A few weeks later and the Hornets are still in the playoff hunt without making a move, until now.
A trade is reportedly getting finalized between the Hornets and Minnesota Timberwolves to bring in a veteran point guard and a sharp shooter to Charlotte that will help them beyond just the stretch they will be without Walker.

Williams brings some veteran leadership and will definitely hold down the point guard position in Walker’s absence. He might not match his season-high of 52 points that he dropped earlier this season but he sure will be valuable as the Hornets push on for the playoffs. Troy Daniels is a sharp shooter that can definitely hit a 3, as he had no problem proving in last years playoffs. Gary Neal is a veteran that will be going to Minnesota, but won’t be there long. There are reports of Neal possibly heading to Atlanta.
Also from Wojnarowski.
Two possibilities for opening of Atlanta roster spot: Ray Allen, or Gary Neal reunion with Mike Budenholzer once he's bought out w/ Wolves.
