Ever had a hard time finding enough people for a pick-up game at your local park? A set of twin brothers has developed an app called Hoop Maps that will let you find pick-up games whenever you want.
Donte and Dominic Morris are twin brothers who graduated from Sacramento State University and would like to change the way people find pick-up games, per Blavity.
“The app has only been around for a few months and it’s already drawing in large numbers. Users can create a profile, check-in with a location and schedule an active game. You can also invite friends to join in on the fun.”
The app can be found in the iTunes store under “Hoop Maps: Find Pickup Basketball Games” and it is free. It currently has a four-star review in the App Store.
Hoop Maps allows you to find a game with a certain amount of people, it shows you how long the game will be played for and how much time until it starts, it shows you who you’ve recently played with and where (whether it be a park or a school), you can invite friends, add friends on the app, and message others.
If you’re looking to find a pick-up game, but don’t know where to go or who to play with, the new app offers you a chance to find a game near you.
