Second day of NBA season and there are already upsets! You can’t write it!
Miami Heat (1-1) 110 Philadelphia 76’ers (1-0) 114 This game was mad. Philly dominates (and I mean DOMINATE) the first quarter. A 19-0 run at the start of the game! They were in the game all throughout and it was something to see. And to me there was one guy to see. Michael Carter-Williams with a NBA Rookie debut record 9 steals! This kid went OFF. He must have been in Matrix mode all game cause he was picking everything. Early club to the head for Miami. You may look dominant on paper. But it’s much different after the tip off. Never underestimate… Well done Philly.
Boston Celtics (0-1) 87 Toronto Raptors (1-0) 93 Compared to the mayhem in Philly. This was routine! I along with many other people favoured the Raptors to win this and it was a good win. Rudy Gay and Up and comer Valenciunas were the men of the game with 19 points for Rudy and 11 rebounds for Jonas.
Brooklyn Nets (0-1) 94 Cleveland Cavaliers (1-0) 98 Cleveland start their first legit Playoff push since LeBron. I remember listening to ESPN Radio and people were wondering “Are the Cavs actually going to get anywhere?” But look at them now. Kyrie Irving maybe the next “THE player” after LeBron. Remember Kyrie is only 21…
But back to the game it was close and deservedly so. Both good teams. I thought it was Brooklyn’s game to lose and they lost. Kyrie 15 and 9, Tristan Thompson 18 and 9.
