Hitmaka responds to allegations of pistol-whipping a woman after a verbal confrontation.
On Saturday, March 14, 2020, a woman entered the Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California with physical injuries she claimed she received at the hands of Hitmaka. Those allegations against the rapper-turned-producer included striking the woman with a pistol and resulted in an emergency protective order.
Now, Hitmaka has released a statement from his attorney, with his version of the night’s events. According to a statement from Hitmaka, legal name Christian Ward, he claims self-defense and suggests the woman set him up to be robbed. In the statement shared via Instagram, Hitmaka claims to be the victim of a planned and coordinated home invasion robbery and assault.
The statement claims the woman, identified as Talia Tilley, was never his girlfriend and initiated the assault by slapping and punching him repeatedly in which he allegedly defended himself. According to Hitmaka, Tilley encouraged a hot-tub session during the early morning, which he did not think was normal. He then describes in a sudden turn of events, hooded men entering the home in an attempt to burglarize and potentially harm him.
“The robbers were unable to get into the house because the back door was secured by a heavy chain with a lock. Right after this alarm sounded, Mr. Ward saw one of the robbers running back from the back door towards the fence. He then heard the robbers trying unsuccessfully to kick open his front door,” details the statement.
Hitmaka claims following the chaos, he was able to see Tilley in communication with an unknown person, even sharing her location. Hitmaka ends by saying this information, along with surveillance video, was shared with the Los Angeles Police Department and hopes the men are captured and brought to justice.
