This Friday, Buffalo’s own Benny The Butcher will debut new music from his upcoming project, Burden of Proof. One of the more talked about tracks from the project features verses from Lil’ Wayne and Big Sean and a beat from Hit-Boy. Building anticipation for the midnight release, the rapper duo delivered a quick preview of what fans can expect from the new track.
Alongside a quick preview of the new single, Hit-Boy shared some background about the beat he produced for the Benny The Butcher album. The California native explained that he produced the beat during the Watch The Throne sessions last decade.
“I [want to] let all my producer homies know [that] you should never give up on any of your ideas. The beat for this new Benny The Butcher single featuring Lil’ Wayne and Big Sean dropping tomorrow was made in 2011 at the Mercer hotel for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne. It wasn’t picked,” he wrote on Instagram.
Hit-Boy notably produced Watch The Throne’s biggest single, “N*ggas In Paris.” More recently, he’s teamed up with Big Sean for Detroit 2 and Nas for King’s Disease. He’ll keep the momentum going with his next big track featuring Benny The Butcher, Lil’ Wayne and Big Sean.
