The Black Eyed Peas slipped out of Top 5 for the first time with The E.N.D. After a month on charts, the smash album appears as though it’s on its way to platinum before school’s in. Maxwell’s Black Summer’s Night fell to #3 in its third week, still scanning over six figures. The effort is the Neo-Soul singer’s first in over eight years. The release, promised to hit gold next week, was only eclipsed by the latest from chart-favorite Daughtry and Demi Lovato.
Eminem’s Relapse nearly returned to Top 10 this week. The Aftermath effort is still promised to be the first, as 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct and Dr. Dre’s Detox are on deck respectively.
Joe’s latest, Signature, fell 20 places in its second week on the charts, with nearly identical overall numbers to Chicago veteran Twista. Category F5 remained Top 20. The effort’s digital release on iTunes, includes a Kanye West-produced and featuring bonus song “Alright”, in addition to a large reunion with longtime production partner The Legendary Traxster.
