If you know me, you know that yesterday I went on a minor rant, wondering why the Heat would trade Shabazz Napier to the Orlando Magic when Mario Chalmers is still on the roster.
It is now clear, they can’t give Mario Chalmers away, not even for a KFC bucket. So the Heat are going with plan B. Trade every guard BUT Chalmers. Shabazz is gone and now Zoran Dragic has been traded to the Boston.
The Boston Celtics have acquired guard Zoran Dragic and a 2020 second-round pick from the Miami Heat, sources told ESPN.com.
The Heat, who were motivated by shedding salary, will receive a heavily protected second-round pick from the Celtics that will likely never actually change hands, sources said.
The trade did not upset Goran Dragic, who is hoping his brother will get more chances at playing time in Boston, sources told ESPN’s Dan Le Batard.
Now Celtics fans, I wouldn’t expect Zoran to be on your squad for long. The C’s plan to waive Dragic as soon as possible. Unlucky for the younger Dragon.
A league source says the Heat agreed to pay Zoran Dragic’s salary next season and that the Celtics intend to waive him.

The Heat now have two 2nd round picks (One which they probably won’t get) which means they have compensated for the Shabazz trade they made on Draft Day. Shame it took two trades to do it.
