
The first trade of the 2016 NBA trade deadline is here! Well, it’s not exactly the blockbuster we were hoping for but, its something.
The Miami Heat, in an effort to help save some money on their luxury tax bill, will be sending young forward Jarnell Stokes to the New Orleans Pelicans.
ESPN’s Zach Lowe reports the following.
This won't exaclty rev up the deadline, but the Heat have traded Jarnell Stokes. Details coming, likely just a small salary dump.

And Shams Charania of The Vertical on Yahoo! Sports reports Stokes will be headed to the New Orleans Pelicans.
