Heat To Sign Michael Beasley For Remainder Of The Season
Michael Beasley has gone through two 10-day contracts with the Miami Heat. He’s played 10 games with his former team and has shown fair production and competitiveness on both ends of the floor. Apparently Beasley’s efforts will be honored, as the Heat are expected to sign the former no. 2 overall pick for the remainder of the season:
From Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel:
Spoelstra indicated Beasley will be signed for balance of season. Wednesday.

Beasley has averaged 9.5 points in 22 minutes per game in this stint with his former team. He finds himself in a depth rotation at forward which is thinned out due to Chris Bosh’ absence. With the Heat in playoff contention, this gives Beasley more of an opportunity to make his NBA resurgence with a sniff at postseason competition this season.
