Marc Stein of ESPN reported that the Miami Heat are interested in Andray Blatche after Josh Smith decided to join the Houston Rockets. Blatche averaged 11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 22.2 minutes a game with the Brooklyn Nets last season. The Nets let him walk this off-season and no other team was willing to pay him so he decided to head on a plane to China.
Blatche is currently in China making $2.5 million playing for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. However the Chinese season ends early around February-March and the Heat are in urgent need of big men if they are looking to make a deep playoff run. Blatche would be a perfect fit for this small Heat team if they face like the Chicago Bulls or the Washington Wizards in a series.
When Blatche returns he will have multiple offers (likely all for the league minimum) to take in consider.
